Website www.ravensroost73.com  Suggestions or ideas are always welcome.

Convention: The Annual Convention of Ravens Roosts will be held in Ocean City from Thursday, June 3rd to Sunday, June 6th, 2010.  The theme this year is:  “The Fan Club that Wouldn’t Die”.   Registration for this event is closed.  The Board has opted not to have a float this year in the parade due to the many restrictions imposed by the Ocean City Authorities.  We will, however, still walk in the parade for those who are interested.  We will meet at 9:30 for line up on 16th Street.  Please pay close attention to anyone of authority as they will be very strict this year and will shut the parade down.  Absolutely no alcohol on the parade route, please.

Entertainment: The following events are being planned by Bridgette Palmer:

June 12th – Members’ only horseshoe tournament at Lenny’s – starting at 12:00 noon.  The competition will begin at 1:00.  We will have a beer garden set up with a bartender on the back lot.  Please bring a chair.  There will be other activities besides horseshoes such as ladder ball, corn hole, ring toss, etc.  There will be live entertainment in the evening in the bar.  Bridgette will be sending an e-mail shortly with any other details.

Bridgette is also looking into a River crawl and will be sending out a couple of dates.

Also may put together another trip to Atlantic City or Charlestown.  More information on this will be available at the next meeting.

The Susan G Komen Walk is scheduled for Sunday, October 3rd.   Registration is now open and Gail Weaver has set up our team page.  She will be sending an e-mail shortly with a link to the site.  Or, you can go to www.komenmd.org and look for the Ravens Roost 73 team page to register on-line.  Several folks have already signed up.   Transportation will be provided from Lenny’s to Hunt Valley and back.  Once we return, lunch will be served.  The Ravens play away that day against Pittsburgh J so let’s shoot for a banner year for our roost.  After the walk, we can hang out at Lenny’s and watch the game.
