General Meeting Notes

June 9, 2008

Meeting called to order:        7:40 pm

Membership:                 Membership renewal for 2008 is now complete.  If your dues were not paid by the June 9, 2008 general meeting, your name will be dropped from the membership and you will no longer receive roost e-mails, etc.  If anyone wishes to join Roost 73, a membership application is available through Debbie Webber.  You may contact her at membership@ravensroost73.com  Dues are $25.00 for singles and $40.00 for couples.

Minutes:                        May Minutes were posted. 

Treasury Report:         

                                       If you would like a copy of the financial report give Jim Finck your name and he would be happy to provide a copy.  Please remember to get a receipt for any money turned into RR73 for tickets, parties, merchandise, etc.

Council Report:             None

Website:                        A Bulletin Board has been added to the website.  This will be a place where notices for babies, get well, etc. can be posted.

Publicity:                        Visit the website for the latest edition of the newsletter.

Convention:                   The parade and convention was a huge success!  Great party and competitions!  RR73 walked away with 1^st place Women’s Volleyball, 2^nd place Mixed Volleyball, 1^st place Mixed Tug-O-War, and Art Modell Trophy for Parade.  RR73 has been invited to walk in Catonsville’s 4^th of July Parade.  If interested in participating, a meeting will be held July 2^nd at Lenny’s.  Bus transportation is a possibility.

Historian:                      No Report

Wellness:                       Everyone is well.

Entertainment:              Atlantic City Trip June 28^th; $25 per person with $21 back to play.  Bring your own beer.  Bus leaves at 8:45 am.

                                       August event to be planned.

                                       Sept 14^th Crab Feast for members, only $10.

Susan G. Komen           Sign up for breast cancer walk on Oct 19^th.  Trying to sign 35 members and raise $6000 for breast cancer research and treatment.  Let’s make this the best year yet! For more information, contact our team captain, Gail Weaver, at breastcancerwalk@ravensroost73.com

Season Ticket Raffle:  See Deb Webber for tickets.  Need all tickets in by August 4^th meeting.
