Council Report

This is Mark Yost's last month as VP of the Council of Ravens Roosts.  New officers will be elected at the next meeting.

 

 

 

Treasurer's Report

Balance as of 9/14/09 $7989.32

Marine Trades sent a thank you note for the $250 donation to the fireworks show.

 

 

 

Special Presentation

Duck calls are available for sale that are painted like a Raven with a helmet.  The roost could buy wholesale and sell them to members and others for a profit.

 

 

 

Membership

Approx 98 members as of 9/14/09.

New members Jackie and George were introduced.

 

 

 

Tailgate

74 tickets sold to date.  Will sell up to 100.  Tailgate tickets are now available to the general public.  $15 for members, $20 for non-members.  Tailgate is for the Ravens / Patriots game on Oct 4 from 11-4.  Bar will be closed to anyone without a ticket until the game is over. If you would like tickets please see Mark Yost.

 

 

 

Publicity

Basket Bingo

Andrea reported that we currently have 42 tickets sold and paid for - we need 100 to break even.  At the fire hall - Doors open at 6:30, bingo starts at 7:30 $15 in advance, $18 at the door.

 

  

 

Shrimp Feast

See Mike Weaver or Kenny Sinnott for tickets or a table.  October 10, Great food.  At the UAW Hall again.  For tables that are out, money needs to be turned in by Sept 28 (Board Meeting).

 

 

Social Events/ Other Events

 

Members crab feast will be Sat. Sept 19th at 3 p.m.  $10 per person, members only, 36 signed up so far.  We will get the crabs from Salty Dog.

 

Oct 18 is the Komen Run/Walk - Gail sent an email before the meeting for people to join the Ravens Roost 73 team.  There will be a bus to hunt valley, donuts and coffee before the walk and turkey sandwiches and tomato soup back at Lenny's after.  We encourage you to stay and watch the game at Lenny's - its an away game.

 

December 12 will be the Christmas party - more details to come.

 

No winner in the members contest this week - remember to make your entries each week for a chance to win a gift certificate to Lenny's (gift cert is $25 and for each week someone does not win $10 is added)

 

P.A.L. golf tournament was successful.  Terry McQuaid brought the Tee Box sign the Roost sponsored.
