Council Report:

Everyone is invited (and Ravens Roost Members) to the Council Christmas Party, on Friday, December 15, 2006, 7:30 p.m. till …. Music by a DJ. Secret Santa, all are asked to bring a gift marked with a blue bow for males, pink bow for females. Tickets are $15.00 each.

Ravens Roost 61, in JazNiks, has folded.

Council Bull roast will be Saturday, February 10, 2007, 7:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. Tickets are $35.00. Music by Gene Vincent. Event is at Patapsco Arena. 21 and over only. Catering by Baltimore Caterers, Inc. I have 40 tickets on hold; TICKETS MUST BE TURNED IN BY JANUARY MEETING. See Mark for tickets.

The Purple Paradise Holiday Bash is December 14, 2006 at Merrit’s Downtown Athletic Club, 7-11. Sponser package is $1000.00, and includes 10 tickets to Sponser’s Lounge, etc. with access to Ravens players. If you volunteer to work the event for the Council, you get in free. Contact Ed Young at etybeach@comcast.net for a schedule, etc. To reserve a sponsor package, call Katie Mitchell at 410-789-6677 ext 113. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Maryland.

 

 

Guest Introduction: Glen Mansburger is selling chances on a Signed Ravens Ray Lewis shirt and a Cal Ripken shirt if anyone is interested in buying a chance.

Guest Speaker: Local author, sports writer and reporter for the Baltimore Sun Paper. Paul McMullen is the author of the book "Maryland Basketball Tales from Cole Field House". He is also the author of "Amazing Pace Michael Phelps from Sydney to Athens to Beijing" Anyone interested in purchasing a book, the cost is $20.00 each and Paul will also personalized your book with an inscription of your choice and he will sign it. If you know of anyone who is interested in purchasing a book from Paul you may contact him at: mcmullensun@verizon.net

Wellness: We wish Kenny well on his outpatient surgery.

Bull Roast: Saturday, March 3, 2007. There are 7 tables left. Ticket price is $40.00 with a $5.00 rebate back to all members. All money is due in February. For tickets see Al. A sign up sheet for the Bull roast will be available in January and February, please sign up to help. Tickets are also available for the Basket of Cheer, see Mike Weaver.

Nominations: Ron will be the chairman of this committee.

Shrimp Feast: August 18, 2007 at the UAW Hall. The price per person will be $35.00. The band will be FOG.

Events:

Breast Cancer Walk: A big thank you goes out to all! October 21, 2006. We had 34 participants. Janet Depner was our Cancer Survivor walker. Total: 5,186.00

Polar Plunge website: www.somd.com online pledges or plungers. Plunge date is January 27, 2007.

Entertainment:

Xmas Party: Saturday, December 9, 2006 from 7-11. Admission will be a donated bottle of cheer. Anyone interested in volunteering to help set up see Sandy.

Pub Crawl: THIS EVENT IS ONLY OPEN TO OUR ROOST MEMBERS. Friday, January 12, 2007.

Lady Terps: Sunday, February 18, 2007, 8.00 per ticket.

Baltimore Blast game: more info to come.

OLD BUSINESS:

Harley Tickets: Need in by January Council meeting. Drawing will be at the Polar Plunge.

NEW BUSINESS:

Playoff Tickets: will be put on ebay.

RR73 MVP AWARD: We will vote on this award at our January 8 General Meeting. You may also vote online for those who cannot make the meeting.

Nominations: At our February General Meeting we will have nominations for our elections which will take place at our March General Meeting.

Council Convention: 12/6/06. Anyone who interested in being a part of that committee please see Mark.

If anyone is interested in ordering any Ravens Roost Apparel please see Terri. An order will be put in on December 5, 2006.
